It’s impossible to tire of Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. It is, of course, well known as a staging past in the annual ‘great Migration’, but also far more than that. Clean, open horizons, a park-like appearance and uncountable herds add to its appeal, but perhaps most attractive is the combination of the expected and the surprise.
Check out after breakfast at your residence or Nairobi hotel and traverse the Rift Valley and ascend its western rim into the Masai land. Red-clad with spears, Masai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators.
Arrive for check in and lunch at your lodge followed by a late afternoon game drive in search of wild game. As dusk rolls in, enjoy a relaxing evening while you watch the sunset, sipping on cool drinks. Dinner and Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge (All Meals).
Enjoy full day 'Spice' game drives within the reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities. Apart from the seasonal migration, game viewing is excellent all year round.
Game includes :- black rhino, buffalo, wildebeest(gnu), burchell’s zebra, hartebeest, various antelope and gazelle, large prides of lions, leopard, giraffe, elephant, cheetah, hippo, crocodile and much more. Option for a balloon safari at an extra cost of 415 US$.
Pre-breakfast game drive, returning to your lodge for late breakfast. After breakfast check out and drive back to Nairobi arriving for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. After lunch, and depending on your departure flight timings your will be transferred Jomo Kenyatta airport for your onward flight.
